 Vikersund is famous for these ski jumps, or ski flying installation, rather. Here; a look from the distance. Looks impressive! Just a couple of weeks ago there was a big ski flying competition here. The record of 219 metres is held by the Austrian Roland Müller, set in 2004.

 Now here's the real thing. The record of 219 metres is held by some Austrian (wonder if I'll be lucky enough to visit Austria...) I was able to climb up a flag pole to get a better view!

 WOW! This is scary! And it's not even the biggest one.

 Obviously these thingies come in all shapes and sizes. but even the smallest one looks too much of a challenge to me! I think I'm a bit 'bearish'.
